Wow! Your stuff is inspirational!!!!!!

I had not considered carving rock until viewing this thread---and I haven't even gotten all the way through it yet!!!

I wanted to ask you what is a good starting setup?

Also,

Since I live on a classical desert isle--all sand and not a indigenous rock to be found ANYWHERE!!!--do you think that some of the rocks at any of the garden centers would do to start? I will post some pics of them when I get to town.
