I'll apologize in advance because I didn't read the whole article.

I think it's great that Death & Co. are using the original recipes for these drinks, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend going there. That is unless you want to hang with the American Apparel/reality show generation. You know..all of the 'hipsters' that live under the corporate banner and love 'sub-culture' but have no idea nor care to know where it came from. The people that have turned the East Village from a dark weird interesting little enclave into something that loosely resembles Spring Break. (grumble...grumble...grumble). When you're in your 20s you shouldn't be hanging at a place like Death & Co. anyway. You should be at some dark dive drinking beer, or some run of the mill cocktail with Vodka or Gin and listening to some loud ass music by people that look like drag queens in a sanitarium.

I would recommend going to the Flatiron Lounge at off hours instead. I don't know if they serve Mai Tais, Zombies, or Navy Grog but they certainly pay attention to their mixology. Plus it's a pretty classy place, just don't go there at peak times or you will be with the Death & Co. crowd only on the Flatiron part of town.

Hey..I'm bitter, but at least I'm happy..whoo hoooooo!!!!!
