We only missed the first Hukilau (but ending up doing a Tiki Road Trip down the east coast of FL and discovered the Mai Kai that weekend). In 2004, my husband had plans to propose at the Hukilau but the hurricanes chased us out (he still proposed in the garden at the Mai Kai though). The Hukilau will live on in the ohana and whenever more that 3 or 4 of us gather, we will experience that magic that you created!
