This is a solid koa wood carving that my mother brought back from the south pacific in the late 1930's. She bought it in New Zealand, Tahiti or Hawaii. It's about 11" tall and about 6" thick at it's widest. Note the dollar bill for scale. Picture don't do it full justice. It virtually glows with amber light. It was always on display when I was a child and it is one of my prized possessions. Enjoy. |
