Ciao,
I'm a new member, have been a Tiki Fan since I first imbibed at Kon Tiki in Tucson, 1968. Fortunate enough to be in Maui last Oct. and ran into a Tiki carver in Kihai named Tavita (Friendly Isles Carving, they have a website). Talked to him for an hour and walked away with a 20" tall Lono....he hand carves each one and also a date and inscription on the bottom. I paid 20$ for it (90$ on the website)...wondered if anyone else has had any connection with him or his work. Nice to be here and among you good people at TikiCentral.
Mahalo $ Ciao
