Earl did a tremendous job on the 2nd wood cut. (That Parker guy did okay, too.)

A thought: what if you hand-tinted just the eyes of the mystery woman, either red or green, I'm wondering.

I suggest this because the ink and paper used for the wood cut do not have the sharp contrast of your original pen-and-ink. In that, the eyes popped on their own.
