Tiki Central / General Tiki / What defines "TIKI" art...and does anybody care?

Brad, U and me are gonna crash the next Aloha da'Aina meeting and see what's up wiff da mokes! seriously tho, I like ur take on the genre. Dont seek to be irreverent and be respectful of the culture. i see that in your work. Bigbrotiki, I get ur point. I sincerely appreciate your contribution and generocity to tiki and poly-pop culture and appreciate that you started this-here thread. i know someone early on said we cull the crap by voting with our dollars. i think at the end of the day, the cream rises and the flotsam will sink. my final thought. since i posted, i have given a lot of thought to what "tiki" means to me in my art, and in my art, tiki is simply the personification of primal urges seen through the lens of Polynesian-inspired popular culture.
