In an effort to burn off our pu-pu induced calories (while avoiding the horrors of sweatpants), Sailor Curt and I have decided to captain an Underdog Sports League adult kickball team -- and thought it would be especially fun to have a team filled with our fellow tiki fanatics.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Underdog Sports League, it's a professionally run adult sports league specifically for the un-sporty (like us!). Teams win prizes for best names and team costumes (gorilla suits are allowed -- although we're thinking hula skirts and lavalavas...)and all games end with a trip to the season's sponsoring bar.

Our team will play on Sunday afternoons at the Ballard Boys & Girls Club (start times are between 12:00 and 5:00pm)starting on September 7th and ending October 19th. The team will be co-ed with 6 males and 4 females (their rules, not ours) and the cost is $65 per person (team t-shirts and administrative costs for Underdog). No prior experience is necessary (we plan on having a practice and bbq session or two before our first game), but you must be 21 to join.

Of course, all Tiki Central members are welcome to give name suggestions -- and come cheer for us come game time!
