The logo is a Papua New Guinea mask, which was not unusual in Spanish Tikidom (see the "Melanesian Bar" menu above), just like it was part of the "South Seas" decor of American Poly pop (see Trader Vic's logo mask, BOT P.247). The Bali Hai is long gone, but when in Madrid, the urban archeology tourist can still find its signage high up above its locked up basement location: |
