But, it's difficult for me to relate to, not having ever lived in L.A. In fact, the whole idea of tiki "apartment archaeology" is pretty far off for those of us who don't live in California. Heck, even apartment living is pretty foreign to me. It's all interesting though, in the same way that reading about another culture is interesting. I doubt there are many here who could discuss it though unless they've experienced it first hand.
