There are many publishers who specialize in putting out cheap versions of popular books or fads, simply to capture a small sliver of the market share. I had some friends who perhaps 10 years ago were thinking about putting out a book on people's home interiors - they had taken photos of many different homes across the country. But then the book 'Pad' came out, and my friend's publishers lost interest - their book would have been viewed as a copycat version of Pad. Vern
