I still had a couple hours of work left in me after the sun set last night, so I did a quick decorative project while I was fixing up some bamboo.
I took some of that tapa material I got at the swap meet a few weeks ago and cut out one of the designs.

Then I took some stock and made a quick frame for it.
Next step was to stretch it like a painting canvas.

That gave me this to work with:

then it was a matter of taking some of the bamboo I had just upgraded and making a frame with it. The finished project:

It measures 31" x 20".

re: the worst log ever. Cut it up and sell it as loofa sponges!

And you'd think that with all that matter missing from the log it wouldn't be very heavy...I pretty much had to cut it into sponge sized pieces to get rid of it. Lifting those chunks into the dumpster gave my deltoids and my triceps a great workout. I can see the results of my tiki carver workout already.

That's why YOU were Mr. Carving Village 2007.

It's the daily burden I bear; good thing I have well developed and muscular back to carry all the weight of my swollen head.

Today I'm going to work on the lower half of my body.

Then I'm going to work out.
Buzzy Out!
