I remember both places from awhile back, The Islander went through s few name/business changes and I think it was on West Oakland Park Boulevard, straight west from the Mai-Kai about 5 miles. Had a weird reputation.
Ant the gardens, yes, Well maintained and had tikis Everywhere that disappeared a little here and there over the years.
