This was a photo from a newspaper article on Oceanic Arts some years back. At the time I needed more Tiki things, so I cut out the image from the newspaper pic, glued it to a dark paper I had around, and penciled in some shading. No scanner, no Photo Shop, no motor cars. As primitive as can be. And more importantly: Cheap and simple with nice results.
