I've seen that design. I think it is actually an older Orchids piece. Not as early as the red clay mugs or ones marked with paper labels. No idea why you see so few of these, maybe something happened to the master mold and they quit making it? It reminds me of the one in the top left corner of page 15 of T.Q. but with a Cook Island style. They were probably of the same generation. Cool find! |
