p.s. I am especially snappish about this subject matter right now as The Mooney Motel, my favorite old roadside inn in my mom's hometown Visalia, is being torn down and replaced by... a "Dress Barn." Yeah, that's real appealing, calling your customers cows. Our culture utterly (udderly?) mystifies me. I'll take the Mooooney any day :) |
