On the subject of surprise remodel TV shows - General Tiki

Ground Force, a BBC garden re-vamp show, was going to be shooting in the Southern US in March, so Mr. Jade, bless his heart, put in an application to surprise me with a tiki garden. They called him and said they were very touched by his story and set up an interview with him to see the space. He said the two women from the BBC seemed very interested, they said the space was just what they were looking for, but the horticulturist from Florida they had to advise them seemed to have doubts that tropical plants would do well in New Orleans (?). That must have been enough to blow our chances because he never heard back from them, so he eventually told me what he'd tried to do. sigh And now I'm just waiting to be bitter when I see the garden they did do in N.O.
