Apparently there was an article in the New Yorker (Dec. 25, 1943): "Franklin Hughes, night club designer, designed the New Monte Carlo bar and also the Copa bar, at the Copacabana." http://www.newyorker.com/archive/1943/12/25/1943_12_25_047_TNY_CARDS_000196045 Unfortunately the article does not seem to be available online. |
