Hey everybody! I didn't see a post on this, so I thought I'd post about this event at Forest Lawn... Here's the info from the Forest Lawn website: "The Art of Tiki - Glendale - New Program As part of the Forest Lawn Museum’s Weekend Activities series, “The Art of Tiki” is an art and education workshop in which guest curator and anthropologist Douglas Nason will give an interactive presentation on the wonderful world of tiki art. This workshop accompanies our exhibit In Search of Tiki, which will be on display in the Forest Lawn Museum from August 8th through January 4th. It is a great chance for people of all ages to learn from an expert the techniques and cultural aspects behind this unique and creative Polynesian art form. It's fun, educational, and free. The workshop will take place in the Museum at Forest Lawn-Glendale on Sunday, October 12th from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m." Here's a link to the page on the Forest Lawn website: It's a free event, but you have to make reservations: "The Art of Tiki - Glendale - New Program For information and reservations, please contact Matt Aaronson, Educational Coordinator, at (323) 340-4745 or by email at [email protected]." Here's the link to that page, which has a link for making online reservations: Check it out! |
