I lived in New Zealand almost 20 years, but before I even went there, a gentleman I consider to be New Zealands most amazing and talented carver, Owen Mapp, came to PagoPago in 1979 and stayed with us in our small Samoan village of Fagasa. We carved together but mostly fished! I am headed to NZ next week, so I emailed Owen and wife Hanna, and saw their stunning website for the first time, and would like to share that with all the Tiki nuts on this site.
