Hey Sven

I agree with your observations about the possible watering down of the public concept of what tiki is; however, I think that it also provides an opportunity to prove that there is a market for this concept (they at least have the cocktails and finishing decore touches right). If the BH Luau can succeed then the unimaginative investment people can have some commercial proof that there is a market again for polypop restaurants and bars, and if you're going to go to all of the trouble to compete with them (BH Luau) you will have to do them one better.
I know that this is a pipe-dream, but it is my pipe-dream.

The bad part is now we'll have to be elbowing Tom Arnold out of the way at garage sales and thrift stores to get to the tiki memorabilia.
