Today I was able to explore a couple of locations listed in the 1960's Whittier phone books. Although I assumed that all of the places I jotted down would be gone, as Boris says, I like to go around kicking the corpses just to be sure. I was surprised to find a couple of apartment buildings still standing. There was nothing terribly tropical about either place other than the names, but I'm still glad that I found them especially since the streets have been renumbered.
