Mister Magoo in A Christmas Carol This was an animated version of Dicken's classic "A Christmas Carol" starring Mister Magoo as Scrooge. Jim Backus did the voice, but the usual nearsighted old man gags common in Mr. Magoo comics was not used. Magoo played it pretty much straight. This was the first version of the Dicken's tale that I ever saw, and I remember being surprised to learn that this had a history that long pre-dated Mr. Magoo.
