The Aku Aku Motel, the Makai, the Hawaiian Inn, and tons of old 50s motels. Next time I go to FLA I want to visit Daytona again but for a bit longer than one night. Next time I want to see the show at the Hawaiian Inn as they were on vacation when we were there last. Fort Lauderdale also still has many old 50s motels, particularly along the A1A and the area between the beach and the inland waterway, and south in the town of Hollywood. They are almost all well kept and a pretty good value, especially if you get a weekly rate.
