I've used a small amount of cottonwood to carve a woodspirit. Not sure if there is more than one kind of cottonwood or not but the one I used did not like being cut across the grain... no matter how sharp your tool was.You just could not get a nice clean cut. With the grain it was great. Also it can be brittle. |
