BUT, I really enjoyed these type of bands during the 80's. I have researched it, and I guess the genre is now called "sophisto-pop" That would include: ABC Spandau (After the diamond album-they were "New Romantic before that) Simply Red Kajagoogoo King Level 42 Japan Wang Chung Frankie Goes to Hollywood Sade Wham UK and so many others! Another way to look at it was that most of these bands were fans of American soul, and English "Northern soul". Don't know what my comments have to do with Tiki, but there you have it!
