C congawa Member Long Beach, CA Joined: Aug 11, 2008 Posts: 358	C congawa Posted posted on Mon, Jan 12, 2009 11:22 AM Unfortunately, the really cool Anaheim Googie bowling alley, Anaheim Bowl (which was on Lincoln just west of the 5, and had that big sculpture at the entrance that looked like something from the 1964 NY World's Fair) got torn down just a couple of years ago (like a lot of these places). It seems like the new "hipster" idea of bowling alleys are the Lucky Strike lanes, which are stuck inside "happening" malls (like Hollywood & Highland or the Block of Orange) with no stylistic building structure other than a "retro" neon sign.
