The folks I have talked with seem to indicate that it doesn't really matter if the wood is vertical or horizontal, as long as it is off the ground to allow air flow over the entire piece. I can't wait to get my hands on some real tools and chunk of palm. Things are getting closer for my move, 8wks or so and counting (but who's counting?).
