This first image is from Bougainville Island in the Solomons. Representing a protective spirit and used as a canoe ornament. This is a protector spirit for a canoe prow from Maravo Lagoon in New Georgia, Solomon Islands. More practical than spiritual is this navigation chart from the Marshall Islands for safe passage. I love this image as it could be a Modern designed piece of art.
