(Is there an echo on this board?) Shopping: Horton Plaza is fun in an LA 84 Olympics type of way (designed by Jon Verde, the same architect). There is also La Jolla for shopping. For modernism, check out the Solana Beach train station, newly designed fora 50s retro look. Also, you will want to dine at the flamingo colored art deco China Camp, on Kettner, downtown.
