Great Info! I'm looking into taking a second mortgage on my house for the weekend at the hotels. I am however, interested in a place with proximity to water that you can play in. Most of the Shelter Island and surrounding area hotel photos I see show a lot of harbors. I don't want to bang in to too many boats while body surfing, etc. Any ideas on a place not too far away with beach access? I can drive to The Tike sites for dinner, etc. Thanks!
