As the author of the book I'd like to offer my humble apologies to Squid for omitting his contact details from the appendix and for not making clear he is an important independent mug artist in his own right. I have spoken to Dave about the whole situation and I and Korero will make sure the next pressing of the book rectifies this major SNAFU. Dave is one of the most genuine and creative characters on the scene and I am deeply embarrassed that this has happened. I hope people understand though that this was in no way a deliberate slight on Dave or his artistry and I will do everything in my power to make amends. The intention of Korero, Holden Westland and myself in doing the book was to celebrate the creativity of the Tiki community and I am very upset that what was supposed to be a unifying moment for Tiki has inadvertently caused any ill feeling. As author I have to take responsibility for any mistakes in the book and I want to point out that although Korero originally approached Holden about doing specifically a Tiki Farm project, he was extremely supportive of expanding the book's scope to include the other mug makers & artists in the community. In closing I hope that this year sees all the mug artists continuing to thrive and prosper and, judging by all the love, respect and support shown for Dave on this thread, it's clear that Squid and his art will definitely and deservedly go from strength to strength. Mahalo, Jay.
