Last night I went to the Tonga Room. I can't confirm the bad reviews concerning the food but the drinks were sorry (Bora Bora and a Tonga Itch). Luckily I just considered them to be the price to spend some time in the Tonga Room. It was indeed an experience not to be missed. Definitely worth the drive from Ventura County. Today I went to Trader Vi's in Emeryville for lunch. INCREDIBLE. Everything wonderful ever said about the place is true. I had Bongo Bongo soup and a Mai Tai and a Dr. Funk. Words fail me. It was great. They gave me a drink menu. It was so great that I changed my plans to go to Forbidden Island. I'm going to save a separate date for that establishment at another time. Very succesful Mug Safari especially finding a Tonga Room hurricane glass in thrift store for fifty cents. Nancy
