It's a complete makeover of the original Westward Ho (same as in Vegas in the 50s/60s and formerly the Howard Johnson's). Very edgy and funky. The rooms look like bachelor pads from the 70s. There was a major spread in the L.A. Times travel section 2-3 Sunday's ago. Extremely unique and they have about ten rooms they sell for under $90/nt. Two doors from the tropics which is being run into the ground.
