Sadly, everyone here seems to be right. Many of the more experienced Tikiphiles seem to isolate themselves. However. I am always pleased when I see a "regular" introduce him- or herself and bring the newbies into the conversation. And give those lost in an often completely new atmosphere a bit of advice and information. When they do that, they not only open a new experience to strangers, but open for themselves new acquaintences and new ideas.
And if any of the newbies object to your invasion of their loneliness, just remind them them what Don said: ". . .everyone at this bar is a friend . . ."
