Yeah, the bartender could use some schooling, and the live music --while extremely well done covers of 80's and 90's love songs -- did not complement the atmosphere like I'd hoped. But the space is still one my favorite places. The palapas, the ships deck, the long house, the rainstorms, the "lagoon" and the floating bandstand are just great. The food I had was excellent (tried about 7 dishes) and had a Scorpion and Lava bowl. The Wahine was tickled by the groove.
