Polynesiac,thanks for the comp,he's carved out of hardwood
(REDGUM)so with heaps of sand'n it comes up like stone.

Lakes,thanks for stop'n by and the comp,Im with you, give me
a textured finish any day.I guess sandings like taxes soon
all later we all got to pay.:wink:

Iaojia,thank you, glad you like.I just used one coat of teak
(satin)and it really brought the peice to life.

It's a long weekend here so I had another full day to spend in the
shed so I got started on another lono peice,the wood is Acacia(wattle)
the same as I used for the small marq and carves fantastic.
Here's some progress pic's of where Im at so far,I've left plenty of log
for the head so hopefully I'll be able to get a bit more funky with the headress.
