We had the 'hold your breath while you drive past the graveyard' superstition in my family (don't want to inhale a freshly-buried spirit)... Which is why dad would always drive reeeeeeeeeal slow. Another one that is emblazoned in my memory was me asking my mother what the hood ornament on the family car was... she responded by telling me that it was called a 'sight' and was used to line up the car with people she intended to hit... Ahhhmemories... |
