I have seen quite a few of these here on the West Coast but I have not seen any with material as a backing before. I do not think it is original but can't guarantee it.
There is also a matching pineapple wall hanger with a man in the center playing the ukulele. I have seen these in various sizes from about 14"-24" in height. These were made in the Philippines and some have the small white stickers on the back. The Hula dancer ones are cool.

Thank you, Bongo and TabooDan. I'm quite sure the fabric (heavy felt) isn't original but I do like the way it looks. Good info this one and the companion piece, Dan. Definitely something I'll be keeping an eye out for in my sojourns.
