Mahalo, Laojia! Next steps: I sanded down the high spots once again. Now all of the detail lines and spots down inside of the letters will have a nice dark contrast.
Next, I restained the exposed wood with a lighter color, Minwax "Provincial". I only left it on for a short time, then rubbed it down using rubbing alcohol to lighten the stain as much as possible.
Next I need to pick up some spray-on spar varnish which should really brighten it up and bring out the finish. A-A |
