Tiki IS a spiritual experience (no.. not 80 proof, well ok, that, too...)
They really were originally God forms, to be Kow-towed and supplicated to.If you look at the mythology,they did have a serious impact on the art and cultures that created(or discovered) them.
they Still do!The myths are beautiful, violent, funny, and very reflective of the human issues and conditions we wade our way through then and today. (sorry if I'm getting preachy, but It's just the dyed- in- the -tapa pagan in me oozing out.)
