I would say so, too -especially now we saw how many different souvenir mug designs they went thru! I always thought it was curious how much that Hawaii Kai pole resembled this Spanish Tiki mug:

Then there is this classic Oceanic arts pole: ...which very well might have been in use at the Hawaii Kai. |
