My friend Fishsticks was offered some old shop equipment from a cow orker of his. They were clearing out some uncle's possessions and when there amid the cast offs Fishsticks saw this tiki. The uncle, who did quite a bit of woodworking, had made it and the family had no interest in it so it went home with Fishsticks.

I think it's a really swell home craft piece, I'd guess it was made following a how-to plan in a book or pamphlet. As best as I could tell it's made from a solid piece of wood, all the detail done with basic cuts. The eyes are the only section glued on. (I think it reminds me of that particular bar tool set from Japan but I didn't feel like tracking down the images for comparison.)
