Really slow around here the past few weeks. Don't know if the extreme heat is keeping people from clearing out their houses, but it seems like garage sales are fewer, and thrift stores are getting nothing new.

Hey Dewey-Surf..I was just in Tampa for the past few weeks. I hit over 15 thrift stores , 3 flea markets and 4 or 5 antique malls and I found NOTHING. And I even went out in the extreme heat, pouring rain and at the crack of dawn. My parents live in Palm Harbor so I was looking from St. Petersburg to Tampa to Clearwater.

Then I came home on Monday and went out looking yesterday and cleaned up back here in California. lol

You need to visit us out here guy!! and bring an extra suitcase to take your stuff back home with ya in !

Hey leleliz,

Sorry you didn't have much luck. I was on a roll in the spring, then it seems like we came to a standstill. Sometimes I find myself going into some really scary looking places, then out of nowhere, I'll find something worthwhile. Sorry you didn't find anything, and the weather quite frankly has been really oppressvie. There's a reason why the rich old people leave in the summer and come back in the winter, to avoid the tropical heat rash :P.

We are planning on going to Palm Springs this fall, you have any places of interest down around there? We may also venture down to San Diego to visit a friend, and maybe the Bali Hai.
