Seems like everyone was having fun out in Californ',
Except for me.
Checking out new mugs, and drinking slugs of that new rum,
Eurydice.
They were drunk and laughing, buying paintings and carvings.
When it comes to 'tiki', here in Texas, we're starving.
I envy those West Coast bastards -
Hope I make it, next year.
Damn, I missed Tee Oh - Oh Nine
Guess I'll just have to find some tiki in my mind.
They say that it's too late, now,
But I could swear,
It's Oasis, somewhere.
Crazy stories and faces from Tiki Oasis are showing up
On the Internet.
Should have saved my money for me and Honey to buy tickets there.
Now there's just regret.
I seek consolation from my bottles of rum,
After 3 or 4 Mai Tais, I'll start to feel numb.
I'll drift off to Tiki Oasis, in my mind.
I missed the San Diego fun,
I didn't have the cash to make it to the bash.
Now that it's too late,
I try not to despair.

Is having tiki regrets just for fools?

Funny you should ask, Lizard, because I'd say:
Forget those California prigs,
They take this tiki thing to an insane extreme.
As for me, I think
I'm gonna just have a beer.
Yes, we missed another year.
We saved a lot of funds,
We'll spend it all on rum.
They say that it was great,

We'll skip Oasis, NEXT year.
