OMG! I went thrifting today and hit an antique store I like and found this piece... I paid a pretty penny for it but it is an exquisite work of art and I just couldn't pass it up. (seems to me it is still worth more than I paid)

Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about it??? The wood? The artist? Is it Hawaiian, Tahitian?

It's about 9" high and almost 10" across.

The antique store person said it was from the 30's era (you can tell by the chord, and the dust inside!)

It's in mint condition and I can't believe I found this. I would love to know more about it if anyone has any ideas where to look??

Thanks in advance for your expertise :)
