The rangorongo birds infatuated gaze implies an existing relationship, self love, a temptation of the heart, or a choice of potential partners. A Yin and Yang is clearly evinent as The Lovers represent the impulse that drives us out of the Garden, here decpicted with a lush green tapa print, towards adulthood.
