I realize this only because I was born exactly ten years later. I celebrated (both my b-day and Hawaii's induction) at the opening event of Exotica 2003, Trader Vic's, with 4 (or so) Fog Cutters, 4 (or so) Mai Tai and a pleasing joint of Maui's finest Wowie. Needless to say it was a great night. The next morning, however, was a bit touch and go.
