Another Polynesian themed motel by Lou Morey, the Royal Hawaiian motel was built in 1969, and then a large wing was added in 1978. It is still operational today. Features a great neon palm tree sign and lava rock walls. It also has a large, flying saucer shaped room on the top which was originally a restaurant, but is now the owner's penthouse suite.
