They are made of wood. I never expected to find one of them myself. However, luck was shining on me recently when I found a similar lamp. The carving is of a different tiki style but the shade and parts appear to be identical to those Billbot found. So fingers crossed, could this also be from a former Trader Vic's ? We did have one here in Kansas City once. Does anyone know more about this style lamp?
